What will it cost? Dogs go free, but humans can come for a modest charge.
Rockport day sails aboard WAVE DANCER: $40 per hour for 1-2 guests, $50 per hour for 3 guests, $60 per hour for 4 guests, $70 per hour for 5 guests and $80 per hour for 6 guests. There is a one hour minimum sailing time. Charges apply only to time underway and not to time taken to get passengers on board and back to the docks by dinghy. On longer trips (from 3-8 hours) a discounted price can be negotiated. Guests are encouraged to bring their own snacks and beverages.
Virgin Island sailing vacations: You will pay the cost of the bareboat charter (prices start at about $100 per person per day for the boat itself), plus your airfare and provisioning costs (provisioning cost will depend on how much you wish to dine out versus eating on board). As your captain, guide and general slave, I will charge $150 per day (pretty much the going rate for Caribbean captains) and appreciate any additional tips from happy guests. Your overall costs will be much less than if you chartered a fully crewed boat (captain and cook). The cost of the boat will depend on its size, its age and whether it is a catamaran or monohull. The boat needs to be large enough to provide me either my own cabin or a suitable alternative space on board in the main cabin.
Contact information: For Rockport sails, please call me on my cell phone at 978-460-0780. For Virgin Island trips, you may call my home phone (508-358-2306) or inquire by e-mail (glesmann@comcast.net). If I am slow to respond to an e-mail or call to my home, it means I am away from home for awhile, quite possibly at sea. In that case, feel free to try the cell phone, although I may be out of range.
